How Augmented Reality Will Transform the Events Space in the (Near) Future – A look at what augmented reality is (and isn’t), and how if differs from other cutting-edge technologies. We’ll explore why and how it will change and enhance the nature of f2f events over the next five years. Specific examples of projected use cases for the events space will be presented, and will include exhibits, sponsorships, gamification, event promotion and education. Topics will include ideas on how to bring it to your event and monetize it.
Audience Engagement – Cutting-edge technology tools and trends planners should consider for a unique experience that attendees can remember and talk about for months to come.
Presenters
K.C. Hopson MS CMP, President, CEO and Founder of EventRebels, has been doing business with meeting planners, associations and others in need of registration, trade show, mobile and conference software solutions for over a decade. Author of two published books, K.C. frequently writes about technology and meetings on his company’s blog. He is currently serving on several meeting industry boards and international committees and is President-Elect of PCMA Chesapeake chapter.
Wayne Crawford, CEM has over 30 years’ experience in the events space, with extensive stints as both an organizer and a supplier. He is currently Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Core-apps, which was recently acquired by Community Brands. His experience on the “organizer” side of the business includes executive and management roles with such iconic events as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, NXTcomm and the JCK Jewelry Show. Wayne’s experience on the supplier side of the business includes exposition management platforms, mobile applications, CRMs and registration. He is frequent speaker at IAEE, PCMA and SISO events.
Oscar Sandoval is a Digital Sales Manager with Freeman in Washington, DC and is a native of Guatemala, but considers Baltimore as his hometown. In his role with Freeman, he is responsible for managing Incoming Digital Sales leads and working with his existing clients to further their digital partnership with them.
