SUMMARY:Best in Class Speaker and Lighthouse Awards Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday afternoon\, November 14 at the Holiday Inn Baltimore – Inner Harbor for this exciting educational and networking session. Meet the new 2019 PCMA Chesapeake Board and see who are our 2018 award winners. \nWith four generations of professionals coming together\, event professionals must learn how to craft meetings\, events and trade shows to meet the expanded range of expectations. Millennials and Gen Z professionals soon will represent the majority of the work force\, and they have much higher expectations for experiences overall than preceding generations.\n\n\nDesigning the learning experiences and the locations in which we bring people together must now start with studying the habits of Gen Z and Millennials. For these younger professionals\, community spaces are extensions of their homes. Alternative creative spaces is where this group prefers to work – they are working in extreme comfort\, on their own timelines and increasingly remotely. \nBut what happens when they arrive at the annual convention or a corporate event? Our team of strategic designers are looking at the three pillars of how people are learning\, connecting and experiencing — and doing so with technology weaved throughout. \n\nLearner Outcomes: \nTighten the experience by pulling activities closer together to be more centrally located – your ecosystem of attendees\, exhibitors and sponsors; Design spaces with multiple casual interactions\, editing so spaces feel welcoming and not a billboard – younger generations trust people not commercials; Capitalize on the “festivalization” trend and blur the lines between trade show\, corporate event and live experiences \nAbout our Speaker – Nicole O’Leary \nNicole leads Experience Design as the Vice President\, Creative at The Expo Group\, leading their creative teams and customer strategy to design and deliver unique\, compelling and memorable experiences that attract\, engage\, immerse and reward. Nicole is a 17-year veteran having led the experience design and creative efforts for large associations\, corporate events and global brands. \nFocusing on attendee-journey-centric design means creating physical\, emotional and learning environments that ensure a complete immersion of client’s audiences in their brands for all generations.\nNicole is a firm believer that great design is NOT budget-dependent. \nWhen she’s not with one of our customers or leading design\, try and catch her between sailing in Buzzards Bay on Cape Cod or snowboarding with her family. Sports and cooking are two of her passions. \n  \nSchedule:\n4:30 p.m. – Registration Opens \n5:00 p.m. – Program and Presentations \n6:30 p.m. – Networking Reception \n\nProfessional Members – $20\, Supplier Members – $40\nNon-Member Professionals – $30\, Non-Member Suppliers – $50 \nThanks to our Host Venue! \n \nThanks to our Event Sponsor! \n \n
