How did you start your career in the industry?
I grew up the daughter of a Chef and always had a passion for hospitality. I started my career on the food and beverage side of the industry in 1994, working in a local restaurant as a Hostess and bar hand. After several years of serving, bartending, corporate training and working the back and front of the house, I started managing bars and night clubs in Michigan and Washington, DC. In 2007, I was introduced to the other side of the hospitality industry…. and started my career in hotel sales in Old Town in Alexandria, VA.

How has PCMA shaped your career?
While I just joined, I’m looking forward to work with PCMA and learn more about how I can enhance my opportunities for growth, both personal and professional.

What advice would you give to yourself at the beginning of your career?
“Listen to those who are willing to share their knowledge. You don’t know what you don’t know”

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I’m not as adventurous as I seem.

No I am not! But I would love to be! 🙂
